Request learner's license

Have you completed the emergency helper course? (first aid course) Excellent. Next comes the request for the apprentice driving license. Here you can download the request form for your canton of residence.

• Fill out the request truthfully
• Take it to a Swiss optician or ophthalmologist and have him do an eye test. (This is valid for 24 months)
• Take your original emergency ID card and a colored passport photo and go to your municipality of residence. There you have to have your personal details confirmed on the request.
• The municipality sends in your request together with your emergency ID card and your passport photo. You will then receive ( usually within 10 days) approval for admission to the theory test. (This is valid for 24 months.)
